Clear, fair terms for every Cheneso Safaris booking — cancellations, payments, and the safety guidelines that keep every adventure responsible.
We understand plans change. Our cancellation windows are designed to be fair to both you and the local guides and operators who prepare your journey.
Cancellations made more than 30 days before your scheduled departure receive a 100% refund of all amounts paid, minus any non-recoverable third-party costs (e.g. park fees already paid).
Cancellations between 15 and 30 days before departure receive a 70% refund of the tour price. The remaining 30% covers guide and vehicle commitments.
Cancellations between 7 and 14 days before departure receive a 40% refund. At this stage most logistics have been finalised on your behalf.
Cancellations within 7 days of departure are non-refundable, as guides, permits, and vehicles have been committed and cannot be reallocated.
Note: Refunds are processed within 7–10 business days to the original payment method. We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance to cover unforeseen cancellations.
Transparent pricing with no hidden surprises. Here's how and when payments work for every Cheneso booking.
A 20% deposit secures your reservation. The remaining balance is due 14 days before your departure date.
We accept USD cash, bank transfer, and major credit cards (Visa and Mastercard). Card payments carry a small processing fee.
All quoted prices are in US Dollars (USD). For multi-day packages, pricing is locked at the time of booking confirmation.
Groups of 6 or more and off-season bookings (November–April) may qualify for reduced rates — ask us when enquiring.
Zimbabwe Parks & Wildlife Management Authority fees and Victoria Falls National Park entry are included unless stated otherwise in your itinerary.
Every booking receives a formal invoice and receipt. Keep these for your records and any travel-insurance claims.
Your safety is our highest priority. These guidelines keep every safari, river experience, and adventure responsible and enjoyable.
Every activity is led by a licensed, first-aid-certified guide. Never separate from your group or follow wildlife on foot without your guide.
Guides brief you before each activity. Their word is final on safety matters — including viewing distances, swimming zones, and trail routes.
Malaria prophylaxis is recommended year-round. Carry any personal medication and inform us of allergies or conditions at booking.
Comprehensive travel insurance covering medical evacuation and activity cancellation is mandatory for all multi-day and adventure bookings.
White-water rafting, gorge swings, and Devils Pool have age, health, and pregnancy restrictions. Disclose relevant conditions before booking.
Keep a safe distance, never feed animals, and stay inside vehicles on game drives. Respecting wildlife keeps both you and the animals safe.
If your cancellation is caused by a covered event under your travel insurance (flight cancellation, medical emergency), we provide all documentation you need to claim. Our refund policy still applies to the portion not recoverable through insurance.
Yes. A single complimentary reschedule is allowed up to 14 days before departure, subject to availability. Reschedules within 14 days are treated as cancellations under our standard policy.
Park entry fees paid on your behalf to Zimbabwe Parks & Wildlife are non-recoverable once processed and are excluded from refund calculations. We'll show you exactly what was paid.
Your booking is confirmed once the 20% deposit is received and you've received a confirmation email from our team. Until then, dates are held provisionally for 48 hours.
